This cover of "Baltimore" by Xenophon is a retrospective tribute to Freddie Gray and the events that transpired in Baltimore in 2015.

One year ago on April 19th, 2015 Freddie Gray died due to injuries sustained while in police custody. The injustice of Freddie's death instigated wide-spread protests, which began peacefully but on April 25 turned violent leading to rioting and looting.

The song "Baltimore", originally written by Randy Newman, was made famous by Nina Simone, a prolific singer and artist and outspoken civil rights activist.
